He has over 10+ years of operational responsibility for 12-14 clinical departments, having managed a $30+ million revenue budget and assessed the performance of department managers, making hiring and firing decisions based on their evaluations. He also led teams to start-up new services, including the first Cardiac Cath Lab, MRI, and Residential Substance Abuse services at his community’s hospital.
In addition to holding positions over hospital operations, Terry served as Director of Managed Care for 12+ years, negotiating contracts for hospital and hospital-owned physicians. He formed an IPA of specialty physicians, set reimbursement goals, and negotiated contracts, as well as implemented the hospital’s Contract Compliance function, using Oracle-based application software.
In the field of in-home care, Terry served as Owner/Agency Director for 10+ years. He financed, started up and successfully operated a Private Duty Home Care agency & served approx. 1,000 senior citizens who desired to “age in place” in their own home. This experience uniquely equipped him as a real estate broker to focus in-part on serving the needs of senior citizens as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®).
