Originally hailing from New York, her illustrious career in the city spanned nearly 30 years in the retail/wholesale cosmetic industry, where she held various positions, including Buyer and Group Divisional Manager, working with renowned brands such as Chanel, Lancôme, and Estee Lauder. During this time, Sherry also became acquainted with the world of New York City fundraising, a fiercely competitive and fast-paced environment. She played an instrumental role in raising millions for esteemed organizations such as The March of Dimes, The Fragrance Foundation, and the NYPD in the aftermath of 9/11.
Gaining valuable experience in the wholesale beauty industry, Sherry assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Sales/Merchandising for a private label company. This role involved extensive travel, including a trip to China to negotiate a deal with the governor of Liaoning Province, resulting in the opening of a retail cosmetics chain. Subsequent trips to Osaka and Tokyo further solidified her connections within the industry and explored manufacturing possibilities in Japan.
After spending over three decades living and working in New York City, with weekends and summers spent in the Hamptons, also known as the East End of Long Island, Sherry and her husband were ready for a change of scenery.
They made the decision to uproot their lives and settle in Naples, where Sherry discovered her calling at John R, Wood Properties. Taking immense pleasure in working closely with individuals, she comprehends their aspirations and customizes her services to cater to their specific needs.
Remaining steadfast in her commitment to providing her clients with unparalleled concierge service, Sherry holds the esteemed titles of Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) and Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE).
With a reputation for excellence, Sherry was honored in March for securing the second highest sale in Collier County, a remarkable 10 million dollar waterfront property.
