With a background deeply rooted in agriculture and the outdoors, Rick’s journey into the real estate realm was a natural progression. Growing up on a family farm in western Iowa, he developed a strong connection to the land and livestock. Over the past 24 years, he has successfully brokered farms and ranches across Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota, establishing himself as a trusted expert in the field.

After working for a few years in the Wyoming oilfields, Rick returned to Iowa and bought the family farm from his grandparents. There, he raised corn, soybeans, small grains, and alfalfa, and operated a 1500-head cattle feedlot, a hog operation, an 80-head cow herd, and a small trucking business.

In 1994, Rick moved to Akron, Colorado, and joined the John Deere business, quickly rising to General Manager of a successful dealership. He obtained his Colorado Real Estate license in 2000 and soon focused entirely on real estate and property management. His dedication to his craft led him to graduate from the Western College of Auctioneering in 2007, where he honed his skills as an auctioneer and ringman, facilitating numerous successful auctions.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rick remains deeply connected to his community, his church, and his passion for the outdoors, having spent many days either hunting, fishing or trapping in several states. As a former volunteer firefighter of two decades and active member of agricultural associations, his commitment to serving others is evident in both his personal and professional life. Rick’s involvement with the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, where he was named one of the “Outstanding Young Cattlemen” in Iowa in 1990, and the National Western Stock Show underscores his dedication to the agricultural community.

In his personal life, Rick finds joy in spending time with his wife Jessica, children, and grandchildren. He continues to manage his own cow herd and provides consulting services to farms and ranches across multiple states.
