Brad Megay, Recognized by BestAgents.us as a 2024 Top Agent

Unlocking opportunities and maximizing value in every transaction, Brad leads with expertise and integrity.

Brad is a Senior Associate at CBRE in Philadelphia, operating out of the office in Radnor, Pennsylvania. He focuses on the sale of apartment properties in the Greater Philadelphia area, specifically the Philadelphia suburbs, Central Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

Brad graduated from Princeton University in 2013, where he was a four-year member of the varsity football team. After graduation, Brad served in the United States Army for six years as an Army Ranger infantry officer, with assignments in 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and the 101st Airborne Division.  He served multiple deployments to Afghanistan totaling 14 months and separated from the Army as a Captain.

Since joining the CBRE Philadelphia Multifamily Team as an Associate in July 2020, Brad has achieved a proven track record of facilitating successful transactions for his clients. He was awarded the CBRE Rising Star Award in 2021 as the top producing associate in the Greater Philadelphia region across all asset classes.

He attributes his success in real estate to the skills and discipline that he learned during his time in the Army:

“The Army taught me many skills that apply to my career as a commercial real estate broker.  These skills include work ethic, discipline, consistency, and problem solving.  The 75th Ranger Regiment is an extremely high-performing organization, and the standard of performance is a challenge to consistently maintain.  Every day is a challenge to meet that standard.  Rangers are required to work as long as it takes to complete the task at hand, and to do so consistently without any lapse in performance.  They are also tasked with solving very complex problems in the most challenging, kinetic, and austere environments.  In real estate, there is no such thing as instant gratification. Success only comes from consistency of performance over an extended period. Building trust takes time, and relationships aren’t built overnight.

My background as a collegiate athlete and Ranger also taught me the importance of being coachable.  I recognize that there’s always more to learn in this business. I’ve been fortunate to have great mentors in the Army and in real estate, and I look forward to paying that forward and helping others along their journey.

My goal as a broker has been to apply these same principles to attack every day with the same energy and effort as the Army demanded of me as a Ranger.”

The most rewarding part of Brad’s career in real estate has been forming close relationships with his clients:

“I enjoy building relationships with people.  It is rewarding to develop trust with clients to the point where they understand that my team and I care about helping them accomplish their long-term goals, as opposed to just conducting one-off transactions.  I enjoy making promises and keeping them. There’s a sense of accomplishment after you do exactly what you promised a client that you would.

I also enjoy the collaborative nature of real estate transactions.  Our team consists of brokers, analysts, marketing coordinators, debt professionals, and more all working together on behalf of our clients. No deal is easy, and closing a transaction requires the concerted and combined efforts of sellers, buyers, attorneys, lenders, title companies, and more, all working effectively toward a common goal.”
