Carolyn’s journey in real estate began with Zeitlin | Sotheby’s International Realty, where she honed her skills from 2005 to 2021 as an Affiliate Broker, Accredited Buyer Representative, and New Home Specialist. During this time, she was recognized as an “Awards of Excellence Winner” and established herself as a top performer in the residential real estate market. Most recently, she excelled at Benchmark Realty, LLC, from June 2021 to December 2024, showcasing her unwavering commitment to client satisfaction and professional integrity.

Prior to her successful real estate career, Carolyn dedicated 25 years to the commercial insurance industry, where she served as a Marketing and Underwriting Specialist with major firms like Aetna Casualty and Surety, CNA Commercial, Harleysville Mutual, and Trinity Universal. Her leadership skills earned her the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Sales Growth and Territorial Management in 1998.

As the current President of the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce, Carolyn has been a member since 2009 and has played a pivotal role in the organization’s revitalization efforts as the Development Committee Chair. Her passion for economic development, education, and empowerment within the Greater Nashville area drives her commitment to the Chamber’s mission, making a significant impact on local businesses and communities.

“It’s fulfilling to serve my community through real estate and the Chamber,” Carolyn says. “I believe that education and economic development are key to building a stronger, more vibrant Nashville.”

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Management from Union University in Jackson, TN, where she was not only an academic achiever but also an athletic standout. As a scholarship athlete, she contributed to the success of the Championship Lady Bulldog basketball team, showcasing her determination and teamwork skills.

Recognized as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), the Williamson County Association of Realtors, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, the Tennessee Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Her community involvement further includes serving as a Board Member at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens, President of the Greater Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce, and Committee Member of the Greater Nashville Habitat of Humanity.

On a more personal note, Carolyn attributes her success in real estate to her trustworthiness, effective communication skills, active listening, and unwavering passion for helping individuals and families find their dream homes. “My role goes beyond transactions; I’m here to inspire and empower others through real estate,” she emphasizes.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, she cherishes her personal life. She has been happily married to Joel Waller for 37 years, and together, they raise two daughters, Lauren and Alexis. The family is actively involved in their church and community, reflecting Carolyn’s belief in the importance of giving back.
