Drew McLoughlin is building a distinguished career at the intersection of finance and real estate development, combining a rigorous finance and accounting background with hands-on experience across complex residential projects. As Director of Finance at Huffines Enterprises, he plays a central role in shaping the financial strategy behind large-scale master-planned communities across North Texas, supporting each stage of development from land acquisition, underwriting, and project financing to asset management and project execution.
Since joining Huffines Enterprises in 2023, Drew has been instrumental in securing hundreds of millions of dollars in development financing. His work has supported the creation and expansion of residential communities designed to meet growing regional demand while ensuring financial sustainability and long-term value creation. He collaborates closely with the development team and ownership to structure transactions, evaluate investment opportunities, and optimize capital deployment. Drew also serves as Project Manager for the firm’s active ground-up multifamily project, adding direct development experience to his broader finance and investment responsibilities.
Before his work in real estate development, he built a strong financial foundation through roles at Goldman Sachs and Deloitte. At Goldman Sachs, he developed expertise in capital management and financial oversight, while at Deloitte, he specialized in investment partnership taxation. This combination of institutional finance and public accounting experience has shaped his analytical approach to complex development transactions and large-scale capital projects.
Drew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from Texas Christian University. He earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Texas and completed CFA Level I, strengthening his ability to evaluate investment structures and financial performance at the asset and portfolio levels.
His expertise extends to sophisticated financing mechanisms, including public-private partnerships, municipal financing structures, and infrastructure-driven investments. By integrating disciplined financial modeling with practical development insight, he helps identify creative solutions that enable complex projects to move from concept to completion. He is known for his analytical rigor, composed and collaborative leadership style, and ability to navigate multifaceted financial transactions.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Drew is involved with the Dallas chapter of the Urban Land Institute through its Building Industry Leaders program, where he will serve as a co-chair for the 2026-2027 session. Through the program, he helps introduce Dallas public school students to real estate development while also sharing practical financial literacy concepts. Outside of work, Drew brings a hands-on owner-operator mindset to his personal rental properties, often taking on renovation and repair projects himself to better understand property management and long-term value creation.
Through his work, Drew continues to support the growth and planning of communities that contribute to the long-term economic and residential expansion of North Texas.
